To my sister

Oh my goodness Oh my goodness. I help my sister out with her blog. She pays me sometimes but I just do it to help really. She is a great writer and has an amazing eye for find the little things in kids fashion and deco. Today she asked me to write her a pome about Daydreaming! well me thinking she wanted to use it for her website. But No she wants to use my pome in her magazine. I can not believe! This is big! its big for me. I really never had my name in anything other then my graducation booklet for the parents. She is going to have it in her outcoming mag. she will be putting together. Im not sure if its for this mag she has or the other one she will doing in Augs. My sister has come a long way.

The day at the beach

Oh yes, playing in the sand. There is nothing more fun then seeing your little one playing in the sand and making holes and seeing them smile. This is a beach here in Waikiki, this is the only beach we really found that Conner could play in the weather as well. All the other beaches were to dangerous for my little one. But boy does he love going into the water. Putting his toes in the water, but when we had to leave man I swear it was like someone told him his dog or gold fish died. Hhahahah taking him out of the water was gonna be harder then I thought.

Oh gosh I hate pictures of me. Who does? my little boy having so much fun with mommy. I think while we're here in Hawaii. He's gonna totally be a " BEACH BABY!!"

Mom came 2 visite

My mom lives in San Diego and for her to come here to Hawaii was a lot of planing and getting ready to do. Here are a few pictures of everything we have done while she was here.

This is my mom. We were walking down Waikiki, and she saw these beautiful birds on a tree. So this nice man took our pictures of everyone with the birds.

My husband Jake with a bird on his head. I really glad that, that bird didn't poop on his head. hahahha.

This is really cool. We we were going to the zoo and we saw this tree, Isn't it wired looking, Most the tree in Hawaii grow like that and I just it look like a cool place to go play in.

New Family Next door

Living on base thinking we will never make friends or find a play mate for our little boy. Well things can change. A family moved out and a new one moved in. We went to go say hi and it turns out they are close to your age in their 20's and they have a little girl who is 14 months. Only 4 months older then Conner Bug. She is new to the military and they just got here yesterday. Her husband is going to be gone for a month, but with a little girl and a house that has nothing in it. Hopefully she will come over and play and go on walks with. Even though you feel a place isn't for you and your not happy. God can change things and make good things come out of bad things.

Nothing is going right!!!

Our family has had it shares of its bad luck here in Hawaii. Since we still don't kwon how to get around and know where things are. Where still using our GPS on our phones. Since our cars license plates are from Idaho and my husband doesn't want to get Hawaii ones. Going through the process is harder then we though, There is just so much you have to do to just drive your car on base. Even though we have military decals. But I guess that's not good enough, my husband just got a bike after selling his old one. He has only had it for 1 month, and now there is something wrong with it so now he cant even ride it. Me deplaning what's wrong with it, not going to happen, Cause I don't know! lol. He got his truck back from his parents that he let them barrow. Stupid idea but any who, he got that back. His had that back for a month as well and now there is something wrong with his truck. So on base he wont be able to take his truck to get inspected. One things after another and another, bad luck or just Hawaii. I don't know you tell me,



Getting all stressed out because of everything braking down. Makes us forget to think about God because where so busy being frustrated and being mad. I told my husband that Bad things happen so Good things can come out of it.


Everyone we live by on base is all in their 30s and about to get out and we have yet to meet someone who is young and goes to church. But the best thing about having them near us. Is they are so much help with Conner when we need it and Great, Great friends we have meet.


God is so amazing and we tend to forget that his there. We all need to remember that God is always there for us in time of bad as well as good. Don't be mad or sad, frustrated. Leave all your worries up to God. Lean on him to help you.

Potty Training Tips

Walking, learning to say mommy and daddy. Eating out of a spoon for a first time. A father and mother couldn't be prouder when their little one learns something new. But when you hear " Mommy, Daddy I gotta potty" our faces turn to a blank and where out finding books of how to teach your kids to use a toilet!! When it comes to kids everyone knows, kids learn at different times. The trick of potty traning your little one not to use their pants as a toilet is to not force them to go. If you force them to go to the bathroom when the are not ready, It will make them not want to use the potty and that means more wet paints!

One of my good Friends Heather Kelley has a little boy who was ready to go like a big boy. But she didn't know how to go about of teaching. She gave me the list of things she was doing and its my list of

WHAT NOT TO DO
____________________

1. Pushing them to go if they aren't ready

2. begging your child to go potty

3. Taking your anger out on your child

4. Calling them a baby and not a big boy or a big girl. Makes them feel like they will never be ready.

5. When going out refuses to use Public bathrooms

These are the top 2 parents use all the time. They don't notice they are until they read a article and then you say " Yes I've done that." I know a lot of you are shaking your heads yes. lol

Don't start pulling your hair out yet, There are a lot of ways of making it fun to go to the bathroom as funny as that sounds! but its true if you make a game out of it or make it fun potty traning will be easy.

For  GIRLS & BOYS

1. Potty Song songs - Come up with fun songs that your little one knows while she is on the pot. But a list by the potty so she know which ones.

2. Potty Book- Toddlers get bored on the potty, so why not keep some of their favorite books right by the potty so they have something fun. There is not harm in your little one learning as they do number 2.

3. I Spy - Toddlers love to take a long time in the bathroom if its not making little toilet paper puppets with their hands. ( like I did when I was little ! hahha )

Having a little conversation with themselves. Before they go try finding little items to put around the bathroom for them to seek. Add new ones each time they go to keep it fun.

For a boy - Hitting floating targets - Try using some colorful cereal like Fruitloops. Throw them into the toilet, ask them to shot for the loop. This will help them learn control, so the pee goes in the bull and not all over your walls.


So the next time your potty traning. Try making it fun, The funnier it is the more they will just go on their own and they wont even release it.

Today was Conners Birthday party, Since we live here in Hawaii and All our neighbors are older then us. Inviting them I thought the party was going to be a sleep feast. But it was different from what I thought It would be. Here is a look at our awesome day of being 1

Conner had a big big day of laughter and surprises. Now his sound a sleep. Our little boy is so love and has so many people in his life I know he can count on. This was an awesome party for him. And he has many more to come.

Yard sale on line.

Hey everyone. I know how hard it is to sell all your items at yard sales at home. Most of the time Things don't get sold and your stuck with your basket of junk again. GOT OUR ORDERS!!

OH MY GOSH, its about time but we got our orders. Where going to HAWAII. The whole move is going to be so much on Conner and on all of us. How it works is this. . . . . . . . Hahha I'm not gonna get into all that, lets just say we have some people that come in and move all of our stuff for us, and pay for our tickets to fly to Hawaii and we don't have to do anything, well that's not ture, I have to make sure I have conners page ready and our stuff ready to go on the plane. and when we get to Hawaii wait in a holte till we can get on base housing, but any who we got our orders.

Happy Turkey Day

Salad, mash potatoes, rolls, green beans oh and don't forget the Turkey.

Thanksgiving is a American holiday that everyone cant wait for because of all the food you can eat, as well the awesome pies. After all the food is gone we all feel so tired after eating why is that? its because of the turkey.

Well I'm here to say I did some research and I came to the fact of why. Turkey has us feeling like we haven't gotten any sleep in 2 to 4 weeks. Blame the TURKEY. This huge bird that we cant get enough off contains the sleepy chemical called triphosphate. What the heck is that? well the definition is simply this

* is an amino acid of the special family known as essential amino acids. This means that if an individual fails to procure sufficient amount in the diet. * I know what your thinking, ( ENGLISH PLEASE) am I right or am I right. To brake it down to wear I can even understand it. The turkey has some different things in it that make you tired. lol. pretty much. They say the reason behind of being tired right after you eat is that you over eat all the food and your energy is used to digest it all.

1 tip: If you don't want to avoid passing out before you get to Grandmas house to eat her famous apple peach cobbler, try eating a little taste of everything instead of stuffing your face. That way you can still indulge in the meal, and feel awake enough to enjoy it.

I'm a normal size girl who has eyes bigger then her tummy. I always take too much and I never really finish it. The whole thing about over eating at thanksgiving or Christmas is ture, but even if you don't over eat and you eat only a little you still feel tired no matter what. So no matter how much you eat, or what you eat. In the end you will feel tired and full and ready to go to bed.

DEPLOYMENT SUCKS

No matter what branch you are, Deployment SUCKS!! My husband was deployed last year for 7 months, not being able to talk to him was really hard. But I found some different ways to make sure he knew I loved him. MySpace and Facebook is good, but you cant put your own touch to it make it yours. I'm going to give you some awesome free Website that you can create just for him. Cause on those day where you cant talk to him, He can go look up the Website and see what you and the family has been up too.

A family Website is a lot of fun, but also take a lot of time to put together. Letters are great too but you can also do other little things to show love by writing stores and pomes.

My little story

The Girl Who Hated Curls!!

There once was a girl named Shirley Lu. Who lived in a town called Swirls.
For she hated this town for every where you look there was nothing but curls.

There were big curls, small curls, curls that would bounce.
That went up and down and to the ground.

There were curls on every ones head. The young, the old. Even the babies were growing these curls she dread.

the roads were twisted windy, bent out of shape.

They world lead you to places you dear to escape.
Some would be driving up and some would be down.

The sings would let to no where, It make the little girl frown.

The babies were crying the people more then just a bit mad. They had enough, they all didn't know what to do.

but sit there and say " BOO WHOO!!"
Shirley Lu wanted to help. She knew what to do.

She ran all the way home. To say farewell to her beloved family.
Then on her way she went, on her long and windy journey.

She had her blanket and teddy bear, her bread and gram crackers too.
This little girl only 5 to boot. She was set she knew what to do. This brave Shirley Lu.

Now Jake love football
more then just a bit.
He loved it so much.
When his team
( BSU ) was losing he
would throw such a fit.

Going shopping can be a drag when it comes to holiday shopping or everyday shopping. Dealing with the traffic while in the car as well getting around in the store. Making sure you got everything on your list. You forget to check your receipt making sure you didn't spend over the limit of what it really is.

My husband and I went to the Mall yesterday to get my son some new cloths, they had some great deals. 2 jackets for $14, 2 pear of pants for $16, and 2 shirts for $14. Like I sad these were great deals to great to pass up. We made our way to the cashier, having her ring it all up it came out to be $70.00. My husband felt that was to much and something was wrong, he looked over the prices and sure enough the woman rang them up as as individual prices. We spend a hour having someone else ring up everything again and fix the problem. So next time you go shopping no matter what your getting. Remember to always check, cause most people that work at Malls or Target or Party store wherever, don't take the time to input the deals because all they care about is going as fast as they can so they can go home.

Vintage Christmas

This would have to be one of my favorite Holidays of all times, drinking egg nog, going to see all the different lights, Hanging up the stockings as well CHRISTMAS MUSIC. Christmas is the time to show your Christmas sprit, by decorating your house. Yes we all have our traditions. In the old day kids doing their chores and making sure their sock where washed put them up on the fire place to dry. Most families didn't have enough to get Christmas trees, trying to find somewhere to put the gifts for the kids.

Stockings where born. Toys and yummy treats where put into their socks. So every year on December 25 stocking all over the world are stuffed with goodies. Everyone celebrates Christmas different not every house hold is the same as well as the decorations.

Without decorations it wouldn't feel like Christmas. Here are some awesome pictures of Vintage Items that help bring these homes alive on Christmas.

Here is a fun cute vintage kitchen, you don't have to decorate the living room you can also do the kitchen so whatever room you go in, Christmas will be there. The author of this is littleepiggy. Her story is really cute. She started collecting vintage Christmas items when she was only 9 years old. She is order now and as you can see put up all her special items up for you to see. That goes to show no matter what age you are. Vintage will never go out of style.
